My “Happy Hour”, or what’s known as the “Golden Hour” of photography, is the 60 minutes after sunrise and the 60 minutes before sunset. That’s when the color spectrum of the sun light appears to be most warm, and everything just seems so “alive!”

I caught this photo of a little chickadee at 150mm. It’s not the size of your lens, it’s how you use it. Portraits are actually best done at around 85mm. Although songbirds sightings are less frequent, when they do occur they let you get up close!
